Must Have Spring Items

It is finally starting to feel like Spring! Although we have a few more weeks until the official first day, it is always good to be prepared. These are the items that will transition your outfits into the new season! Some of these pieces you may already have in your closet. If that is not the case, they are all easily found and will take you from day to night.

Long Sleeved Dress

We can finally start to wear dresses again! I chose one with long sleeves, because it is still  cold out, let’s be real. The hemline is a bit on the short side to strike a nice balance with the covered arms. This forest green color can be worn in so many ways depending on how you accessorize it. Glam it up for a night on the town with stilettos and a statement necklace. It is also perfect for work or everyday with a cute pair of patterned flats. The best part? It has pockets! If you don’t already have a dress you can rock day or night, don’t fret. Long sleeve dresses are everywhere right now.

Open Toed Booties

These types of shoes are perfect for the start of spring. They show a little bit more skin, which will make you look fresh and lighter on your feet. Still being booties however, they are functional and comfortable.

For day, a lighter color will wake up any outfit. These pale blue cutout booties are perfect, they are unexpected but still go with any outfit. For night, you can’t go wrong with a black pair that has a block heel. They go with literally anything you wear. The tie strap and tassels dress them up and makes them not your typical black boot. Both of these pairs are faux suede. This fabrication looks luxe but will need a little TLC to keep them looking perfect. The peep toe on both will prepare us for the shoes we will be rocking in a couple months during warmer weather.

Distressed Denim

You can’t go anywhere without seeing a pair of jeans ripped to shreds lately. You can take this trend as far as you want to go, the more distressed the better. These jeans come in so many shapes and sizes, giving you endless ways to pull of this trend. If you are just getting into it, I say choose a pair that is medium wash, skinny with just a few tears. You will be able to wear them with what you already own.

For night, white jeans are unexpected. Find a pair with knee slits, they are just the right amount of showing skin without looking messy. For day a  medium wash pair with scattered tears and slip on sneakers will make you look effortlessly cool. The best part of this trend? They are jeans, so you will be comfortable while looking fashionable.

Bright Colored Purse

The easiest way to upgrade your wardrobe for spring? Bright accessories! It can also be the most fun. You can go more daring with your purse than you would for another piece of your outfit. I do like my neutrals, and sometimes get stuck in that mindset. Adding a bright bag to any outfit I already own, instantly perks it up. These purses have both been in my closet waiting until the perfect season to make their appearance.

For day, a bright carry all will be functional and fashionable. This Michael Kors Jet Set tote has room and pockets for ANYTHING your day could possibly throw at you. For night, a chain strap, oversized, envelope clutch is perfect. The strap dresses it up a for evening and the bright colors would pop so perfectly against a LBD.
