Sephora Play March 2017

It is once again that time where I receive this awesome beauty subscription box in the mail. I was very excited to see that this month’s theme was “Glow Your Own Way.” Sephora Play always has great brands in their boxes so I cannot wait to see what this month has in store!

Let’s jump to the products:

GLAMGLOW GLOWSTARTER™ Mega Illuminating Moisturizer

I was stoked to get this just because it was a GlamGlow product. In all honesty it could have been anything and I would have been excited. GlamGlow is such a great brand, I have a peel off face mask by them and it is incredible. They are also an expensive brand so receiving a product from them in a $10 box is great. This moisturizer is cool, it smells like candy, leaves my face looking glowy and sinks in right away. As far as a moisturizer goes, I have been loving wearing this all week. I do wear another moisturizer underneath though. I think it works best as a makeup base, not solely for hydration reasons.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in “Golden Pink”

I have a lot of eye shadow sticks in my collection and to be honest, I hardly use them. I thought I would end up feeling the same way about this one, but I was wrong. It is very pigmented and applies evenly. It is a gorgeous rose gold shade, which is perfect for everyday. It is definitely more gold than pink however. I recommend putting a powder shadow over it to prevent creasing, but that is standard for most eye shadow sticks. The stick form really does make it easy to use, no brush needed! I cannot wait to create some looks with this product.

Benefit Cosmetics Watt’s Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter

This is absolutely the item I was most excited about. Watt’s Up is a cult classic among the beauty community. This highlighter is a beautiful champagne shade and a VERY generous sample size. This will most likely take me a year to go through, a little goes a long way. I have been using this before I apply my powder products, but since it is a cream-to-powder finish you don’t have to! Highlighters are my favorite, so this is a mega hit to receive!

Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast™

I have never tried anything from the Living Proof brand before but I have heard nothing but positive things! This is a spray that you can use at any time on dry hair to get a volume boost. I have very flat hair, no matter what I do, so this is a perfect product for me to try! I am pleased that they did not just send another dry shampoo. This is a different and unexpected product, which totally made it a hit for me.

Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm

At first I was disappointed with this product, based on the sample size. The jar had barley any product in it! However, after using this product for about a week now, my thoughts have changed. I really enjoy this stuff! I use it as a makeup primer, it does have other uses, but as a primer I think it preforms best. It is unbelievably thick and has a balmy consistency, so a little bit goes a LONG way. It gives me skin a bit of a glow and creates the perfect base for foundation. I have very dry skin so anything with argan oil is great. It actually benefits my skin  which I cannot say about some other primers.

Overall I am pleased with this month’s bag. Since I do have dry skin, anything that says it will give me a “glow” is totally fine by me. I have been using a lot of these products almost everyday! I also received a perfume sample extra, it is not my favorite scent but I will totally use it up. No misses this month, always a good thing!

Sigh. So jealous. I have been on the waiting list for months…

Oh no, I know that feeling! But stick it out, it took me a long time to get off the waitlist as well, but it is so worth it when you do!
