I feel like I was just writing about October’s bag, time sure does fly by! Always excited to receive my Ipsy bag in the mail and this month was no different. I didn’t peek AT ALL this time around, aren’t you proud?
Show me the goods:
TOUCH IN SOL Advanced Real Moisture Liquid Foundation SPF 30
A good foundation is the canvas for creating a masterpiece makeup look. Therefore, I was excited to see this item in my bag. Trying out new foundations is always fun research for me. The shade is surprisingly an ideal match for my skin tone (Ipsy are you psychic?!). This formula is a hydrating one that makes the face look dewy, which is ideal for my dry skin. This provides medium coverage and is best applied with a beauty sponge. My attempts with a brush just left streaks on the face. I look forward to playing around with this product more.
Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank Bitten & Bronzed Matte Bronzer
Being a 90’s kid Lisa Frank has a huge place in my heart. Therefore this collaboration with the brand Glamour Dolls is right up my alley. This bronzer is awesome. The pigmentation is definitely there and the shade can be used to contour or warm up the whole face. It may look dark in the pan but don’t be scared, it blends easily and beautifully into the skin. The fact that it is completely matte makes it all the more flattering. I am assuming this is a full size, which is always awesome to receive in a $10 beauty box. Ipsy pulled on my nostalgic heartstrings with this product, I love it!
MANNA KADAR COSMETICS Lip Locked Stain in Pinot Noir
The name “lip locked stain” is a confusing one, I didn’t know what to expect. This product is a hybrid between a lip gloss and a liquid lipstick. It is very pigmented and thick, but not drying on the lips. It really does stain though so be careful during application. In order for it to look uniform on the lips two layers is most likely needed. The deep wine shade will accompany your holiday ensemble well. I need to test this product more but so far it seems high quality.
DOUCCE Freematic Highlighter in Solstice
Applying highlighter is my favorite part of my makeup routine, it pulls the whole face together. This product is stunning, a pale champagne that adds a lovely sheen to the face. It is silky to the touch and blends beautifully on the skin. You can easily adjust the glow by applying several layers because it builds on itself well. I just wish I had more space in my magnetic palette to pop this pan into! All the items I have tried from this brand have been pigmented and this highlighter was no different, excited to add it to my collection.
TOO FACED Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer and Setting Spray
I have been wanting to try this product ever since it came out. I adore setting sprays and enjoyed the primer from this collection so I am sure I would have loved this spray. Unfortunately, this sample size is too small that it cannot be used properly. It is the size of those free perfume samples you never use. The spray nozzle squirts the face instead of applying an even mist. I’m sure the product in the full size is amazing, but this sample was a total miss for me. It does smell good though, I will give it that!
Overall, not my favorite month but I will get use out of these items so it is not a huge loss. I am sure Ipsy will redeem themselves next time, they usually do. What products did you receive this month? I would love to know!
