Spring is approaching, so they say, I still am currently scraping ice of my car every morning. However, Spring WILL be here sooner than we think. All the sweaters and oversize everything we got so use to will be a distant memory. We got so accustomed to being comfortable all the time, am I right? Just because the seasons change, my need to be lazy and wrapped in a cocoon of fabric doesn’t! Rather than bust out all of your limbs at once, just pick one to highlight as we crawl into the warmer months.
High necks have been trending for a while, but this is their true moment to shine. This time of the year is perfect for them. This style looks cute and still keeps you warm. They raise the eye to your face, so smile big when you wear one!
My favorite way to rock this look is to strive for sleeveless styles to play up my arms as well! This way, you will still be relatively covered and will give your arms a chance to breath, come on, it’s been months for them.
My pick for this limbo in seasons is this pastel sleeveless turtleneck (Left). It is a blush color that is perfect for the start of spring. It is a more vibrant color but the sweater fabrication is still fitting for the season. Look for lighter, and brighter colors in heavier fabrics. They will appear fresh & still cover (the weight I haven’t loss from the holidays, shh). I paired it with cropped distressed white jeans, again the lighter wash “springs” it up a notch.
When dressing for a night on the town, seek out items that come with something extra, like this peplum top (right). A style like this will make you waist appear tiny, thank goodness! Or you can look for a crop top with a mock neck, they pair perfectly with high waisted skirts or pants. You show a tiny bit more skin than you would during the day, but nothing over-the top.
One of the best things about these looks, if you can find this style just about anywhere, it is popular & flattering on a lot of body types. I guarantee this trend won’t be a pain in the neck!
