Boxycharm February 2017

I finally, after months of deciding, subscribed to Boxycharm. It has been a long time coming, but i’m so glad I finally took the plunge. This arrived at my door in March even though it is the February box, because I was on the waitlist for a bit. So keep in mind if you are thinking of subscribing, there is a waiting period. This is going to be my favorite subscription, I just know it! Boxycharm gives you 4-5 FULL SIZE products for 21 dollars a month. Yes, it is a bit more expensive than my other subscriptions, but each box is valued over $100 dollars. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS Y’ALL!! That is an amazing deal. Brands range from well-known to up and coming. This is a perfect subscription for somebody who wants to build their collection.

Here is what I got this month:

Hits:

Omnia Eye Kit by Royal & Langnickel:

I am always stoked to get makeup brushes! These two eye shadow brushes will be perfect to add to my collection. They are both made of natural hair bristles and are so soft. The smaller one will be great for packing shadow on the lid and the large one will blend it out. Also, they are just so stinkin’ cute. Who doesn’t love a metallic?

Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Pans:

Everybody received two eye shadows in this month’s box. I got the colors “Cherry Cola” which is a matte burgundy shade and ” Prom Night,” a shimmery taupe. I have wanted to test Makeup Geek products for a long time. Their eyeshadows are the brand’s claim to fame, so I can’t wait to try these out.  These shades are right up my alley and will easily work with my normal makeup routine. They are both buttery smooth and so pigmented, what else could you want?

Juice Beauty Reflecting Gloss

This lipgloss is a gorgeous color. It is a copper shimmery shade with the name “Fig.” It does go on a lot more sheer than it appears in the swatch however. I usually am not the biggest fan of lipglosses, but I am slowly trying to change that fact. I think this color would be beautiful for a warm makeup look. It goes on smooth with a doe foot applicator, it smells good and truly does hydrate my lips. It is not particularly sticky either, thank goodness!

Dr Brandt Microdermabrasion:

I could not be more excited to have received this. I have gotten a sample size of this product before (cough, scroll down to my Birchbox review, cough). I have been loving that one, so getting more is a total hit  for me. This does such a great job of gently exfoliating the face. It smells like lemons and leaves my skin insanely soft. A little goes a long way with this product, so I will have this for a long time. Dr Brandt products are a pretty penny so getting this in a $21 box is incredible! Awesome product to receive.

Small Z-Palette

This is the product that sealed the deal and made me subscribe to Boxycharm. I have realized how much easier my life would be if I had a magnetic palette, and now I do! Z-Palette is the most well known brand for magnetic palettes, I am happy to get one that I know I can trust. This one in particular even has the cute Boxycharm logo on it. Along with the palette, it came with several magnetic bottoms you could glue onto your existing pans if they do not have a metal bottom, clever! This product will hold nine conventional pans and is the perfect size for traveling. I popped my new shadows into it right away!

Misses:

None, how great it that?!!

Overall I could not be happier with my box! This is the subscription you want if you seriously love beauty products. I am already counting down the days til I get my next box. The retail value of this month? $150!!! Mind-blown!
