My pink Ipsy mailer came today which always puts me in a great mood! Ipsy is an awesome beauty subscription. For $10 a month you get five beauty products PLUS a cute makeup bag! The spoilers I saw for the bag look pretty dang great so I cannot wait to see what I received this month!
Let’s get to the products:
pur~lisse BB Tinted Moist Cream SPF 30 in “Light”
Typically I am not a fan of BB Creams. I either wear a full face of makeup or no makeup at all, there is rarely an in-between. However, I have since changed my mine due to this BB cream in particular. It is thin and does not provide much coverage, which is typical for BB creams, but it still managed to even out my skin! It blended nicely and did not make my skin feel greasy which this type of product sometimes can. Topped with a bit of powder, this created a great base! My skin looked healthy and glowing all while appearing as if I wasn’t wearing any makeup at all. Maybe there will be some in-between makeup days from now on!
South Mane Macadamia Oil Treatment
A Hair oil is always a good and useful product to receive! Applying an oil to the ends of your hair will nourish it and cover up any split ends you may have (or DEFINITELY have in my case). I also dig the packaging of this product. The glass bottle and the medicine dropper makes application easy and look expensive. This stuff smells great and will last me a long time. This oil will be traveling with me all summer long.
Urban Decay Afterglow in “Sin”
I think we all know by now that I am obsessed with highlighters. No matter how many I have there is always room for more. Urban Decay is an amazing brand to receive in a ten dollar a month bag since it is higher end. This highlighter is a beautiful champagne shade, which happens to be the most flattering shade for my skin tone and a great deal of others as well. This may not be the most wham bam in your face glow but it does provide a lovely natural light. The sample size of this product is a pretty substantial and the pan is perfect for popping into a magnetic palette! I will be using this highlighter a lot when I want a subtle glow.
TrèStiQue Mini Matte Lip Crayon in “Tuscan Wine”
Lip products are always fun to receive. Lip crayons have quickly become my go-to product thanks to my Tarte LipSurgence Pencil in the shade “Wonder.” So I was very much excited to try a new one out! The red color is more on the deep side and is beautiful for day or night. Lip crayons are awesome because you are able to line and fill in your lips all at once! The formula appears matte but feels very comfortable on the lips and does not dry them out. It is moisturizing and matte at the same time! This may just become my new everyday red shade.
Luxie Beauty “Precision Foundation Brush 660”
This is the item I am most excited about from my bag! I am always happy to get new brushes and Luxie brushes are some of my favorites! I have received quite a few from this brand through Ipsy and they are of great quality. I will say however that this brush doesn’t seem like it would be ideal for foundation like the name states. It is tapered and very soft but not dense enough for cream products in my opinion. I could be wrong because since there are no rules in makeup it could be used for anything! It is extremely similar to my Luxie Tapered Highlight brush (which is my favorite of all time) and I will most likely use it for setting my under eye area. No matter which way I end up utilizing this brush I am so happy to add it to my collection. Did I mention it is as pretty as can be?!
Overall I am happy with my Ipsy bag this month. No “misses” is always a great thing! I am wearing the BB cream, highlighter and lip crayon right now and I love how all of them look on me! The bag itself is very cute and on theme for summer. Who doesn’t love a popsicle print? I am glad they sent a bag that is slightly bigger this month. It will hold everything I need making it perfect for throwing in my purse!
