Must Have Trend: Embroidery

The saying goes that “it’s all in the details,” and this could not be more true for the trend of embroidery. This embroidered look is H-O-T right now! It is oh so popular and can be seen just about everywhere. This is a perfect example of when streetwear influences the runways. Embroidery takes classic silhouettes to a whole new level. These beautiful motifs will bring new life to your wardrobe!

You can notice in several recent trends that the ’90s are in fact back in style! Being a ’90s baby, I am not complaining! An embroidered rose on a pair of lightwash jeans is the epitome of what this trend represents, freedom of expression! It is all about adding personal flair and charisma to your closet.

The key with this trend is to start small. One embroidered piece in your outfit is all you need and will work wonders. These ornate add-ons nowadays are beautiful and diverse. You can find almost anything that strikes your fancy embroidered on an item of clothing. Of course, the most popular design is flowers.  While these are stunning and I have several floral pieces myself, I urge you to look for more unique designs to make you stand out in the crowd. This emboridered skirt is my favorite because it is different from anything I have ever seen. The bright color pallette makes it the PERFECT summer skirt, and the rare pattern keeps it from being cliché.

Embroidery would be an amazing pick me up for a simple dress as well. I chose this lightweight white dress with beautiful opulent flowers. It ups the interest factor a ton. This dress almost has a Hispanic feel to it, which I adore. Little details can take an item of clothing a very long way.

Another embroidered piece that would work fabulously for any wardrobe is a denim jacket. Paired with sewn-on prints, a jean jacket will work with everything you already have in your closet. Just throw on and be on trend–nothing better than that!

This trend will work for anybody, which is what makes it so appealing. Look for small, simple patterns on shapes and fabrics you already know that you love. You will look like a total rock star, go you! Let me know if you are as giddy over this trend as I am! Down below I have linked all my favorite embroidered pieces. Happy shopping.
