My favorite part of the month and my favorite month in particular have joined forces! I received my Ipsy bag in the mail this week. Getting beauty subscription in the holiday months is always a bit more fun because they usually try to follow a fitting theme for the times. I am excited to see the products that I received!
Show me the goods:
CONTEXT SKIN Vitamin C All Day Eye Cream
I swear Ipsy knows me too dang well! I have been needing a new eye cream and voilà I get one (maybe I should say I need a million dollars…). This is a full size and A LOT of product for an eye cream, since you use such a tiny amount each time. The consistency reminds me more of a gel than a cream. It is lightweight and perfect for applying in the morning under makeup. I use it day and night and love how it keeps my dry undereyes hydrated. It absorbs into the skin quite quickly which is ideal for rushed mornings. No real scent is present which is welcomed as it won’t irritate the skin. Very happy about this product overall. This is a pricey skin care item, high end products in such an affordable bag? YES PLEASE!
Chella Eyebrow Pencil in Beautiful Blonde
I have been loving filling in my eyebrows more and more lately. My weapon of choice are pencils, especially if they are super fine tipped, which this one is! The color of this product is a light taupe which is perfect for blondes. It is a good combination of waxy and creamy to precisely fill in and make sure the product stays in place. This pencil lets me shape my brows extremely fast which I very much appreciate. I will use this product up entirely and enjoy doing so.
Hey Honey Trick AND Treat: ACTIVE PROPOLIS CREAM CONCEALER
First of, the name is pretty dang perfect for this month. I mean Trick AND Treat? How cute! A girl can never have too many concealers in my opinion. This isn’t your typical concealer either, it is packed with skin saving ingredients to step up your skin care game whilst helping you not look like a zombie in the morning. This product has a creamy lightweight texture, it blends easily and builds well. I needed about two layers to get the opacity that I wanted but it didn’t appear cakey or crease all that much (all concealers crease under my eyes). That is just about all I can ask for in an everyday concealer. Not a sample size to scoff at either, total hit!
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder
IT Cosmetics is such a fab brand and I am overjoyed to see them in subscription services. The packaging leaves a little to be desired (cardboard compacts? Really? Aren’t we over that by now?). However, the pan size is larger than I anticipated and could be popped into a magnetic palette easily, just wish mine wasn’t full at the moment! This extremely lightweight powder goes onto the skin like a dream. It blends quickly with minimal effort and really does reduce the appearance of pores making your skin look airbrushed. I have been setting my under eye concealer with this item and it wears beautifully throughout the day. It would be great as an all over setting powder as well.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in “Perversion”
Ok, no I do not need another black eyeliner pencil by any means but if I was going to get one I am glad it is this product. Urban Decay is another great brand to see featured in a beauty bag. I use to use this exact eyeliner in high school when I was obsessed with lining all around my eyes to an extreme level (please don’t try to find old photos). This stuff really does last a long time and takes no effort to get it on the eye, it glides on like butter. I would especially recommend it for the waterline to ensure you don’t look like a raccoon by the end of the day. This fall and winter I want to try out smokier eye looks and this eyeliner will be a key component in creating those.
Another month, another Ipsy. Yet again, I am pleased. No misses and a full size product all for $10! This month wasn’t scary at all. What did you receive in your bag?
