The best beauty subscription just arrived at my door. I know I shouldn’t play favorites but I just can’t help it! Boxycharm has been knocking it out of the park lately. Let’s see if this month is any different, shall we?

CoverFX illuminating setting spray
I adore setting spray and was excited to receive a product from CoverFX. This is a high-end brand and this item is huge, four fluid ounces! This setting spray offers an illuminating finish while instantly setting your makeup into place. I think it does a good job of doing exactly that, it keeps my makeup in place and gives my skin a subtle sheen. Due to the fact that I have dry skin anything that says it will give me an illuminated look is good in my book. This mist on this bottle is almost TOO fine. You have to hold it pretty close to your face in order to feel like anything is even happening. I will still take an ultra fine mist over a heavy spray any day. Be warned, you need to shake this a good amount before application to make sure you don’t look like a disco ball. Really enjoying this product so far!
Winky Luxe Kitten Palette
Doesn’t get much better than getting a full size eyeshadow palette, now does it? Maybe only if the packaging is as cute as this one from Winky Lux. I may be more of a dog person but this kitten palette has won over my heart. Looking at it and being a girl who usually sticks to neutrals, I was a bit standoff-ish of all the colors. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the versatility of this product. I was able to create so many looks from these shadows which all looked lovely and vastly different from one another. These shadows blend like butter into the skin. I will say that this product benefits greatly from an eye primer to ensure true to color pigmentation. This was the only palette I brought with me on my recent vacation and I had all the bases covered.
BoxyCharm x Luxie Quad Eye Travel Set Brushes
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you know Luxie brushes are my favorite. The fact that we got four this time around is just icing on the cake. Yes, the handles are a bit smaller because they are marketed for travel but they still get the job done. These four shadow brushes are all you need to create the perfect eye look. I typically don’t pack separate brushes for travel because I don’t think a slightly smaller handle saves all that much space. I am still very excited to have these in my collection though. Luxie brushes are some of the softest tools I have used and it doesn’t hurt that they are pink, my favorite color!
KNC Beauty Collagen Lip Masks
I have always wanted to try one of these types of lip masks. You see videos of bloggers using them all the time and they seem so fun. The box actually provided three of the masks but I set one aside before taking the picture to use tonight. This product is supposed to plump up your pout and provide lasting moisture. The moisture part I believe but we shall see about the plumping. You apply it to your lips and chill out for 15-20 minutes (not sure I can go that long without talking). These are great products to receive because they are not something I would go out and buy for myself but will be fun to try, who knows I may become obsessed!
Laqa & Co Cloud Lips Airy Matte Lipstick
I was so stoked to have gotten this lipstick at first. In theory it is a lovely product. The bullet packaging is sleek and beautiful. The shade, a deep berry, would be the perfect holiday color. It applies smoothly and pigmented. After a bit of wear however, is when the problems appear. The product broke up and got patchy on the lips and made me look terrible. It wouldn’t stay in place and left me a chapped mess. It looked so bad that I had to take it off halfway through my work day. Perhaps I did not exfoliate my lips enough but I think this lipstick is just not easy to work with. A dark color demands precise application and a formula that holds up and this lipstick this did not provide either. Total miss!
Yet another great Boxycharm. One miss does not take down the rest of this splendid box. The overall retail value of all these products is $120. Amazing! What did you think the best product was?
